Modern Family will stream on both Hulu AND Peacock starting next month… less than a year after airing its finale

Hulu and Peacock are going to share the streaming rights to Modern Family when it finally hits the internet next month.

All 11 seasons will become available simultaneously on both streaming services beginning on February 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Modern Family enjoyed its long 250-episode broadcast run on ABC which has the same parent company as Hulu – Disney.

Meanwhile Peacock is the streaming arm of NBCUniversal which of course own’s one of ABC’s main broadcast rivals ABC.

Although 12 episodes will be free on Peacock – on a rotating basis – the rest of the show will require a paid subscription to watch.

Disney and NBCUniversal have struck a multiple-year deal that has allowed for both company’s streamers to share the program. 

The show will be arriving on streamers less than one full year after it aired its series finale last April just after the coronavirus lockdowns began.

Last year Sofia made so much money on her various projects that Forbes reported she was the world’s highest paid actress of any kind. 

Sofia played the much younger wife of Ed O’Neil and they are jointly raising her son from a previous relationship, played by Rico Rodriguez.

As the show goes on Sofia and Ed also have a biological child together who was played by Jeremy Maguire for the last five years of the show’s run.

Ed’s character also has two older children played by Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson who have started their own families.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet play a gay couple who adopt a Vietnamese girl played by Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.

Meanwhile Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell play a couple whose children are played by Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould.
