The 49-year-old captioned the photo of his neatly groomed blond facial hair: ‘When bored, bleach.’

His new look earned a stamp of approval from husband Jwan Yosef, 37, who commented with a heart-eyes emoji, writing: ‘Babaaaaa.’

‘Oh yeah!!!’ wrote Melanie Griffith, as Jesse Tyler Ferguson joked: ‘This is what my beard looks like when I DON’T dye it.’

Martin is gearing up for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, where his EP Pausa is nominated for Best Latin Pop/Urban Album, after winning Best Pop Vocal Album at the 21st annual Latin Grammy Awards.

He told People that being nominated this year comes with a unique feeling: ‘This feels a little bit more special because it’s a special year and where I’m at, it just felt differently and I’m very happy. I love music and I am codependent enough to say that I do need the reaction of not only the audience but in my case, the industry.’

Pausa was released back in May, the first of two EPs, the second being aptly titled Play, which is expected to drop in September.

The two-part project was originally intended to be his 11th studio album Movimiento, for which he kicked off a short-lived world tour last February with Enrique Iglesias.

The American Crime Story actor said: ‘When everything started, I said, “Wait, what am I going to do with all this energy?” It’s funny because most of the lyrics were already written.

‘They were exactly what people needed to hear when we started this lockdown. We haven’t seen the PTSD. We haven’t seen the trauma that this is causing. I just want to give the audience Pausa, which is relaxing and peaceful.’

He added: ‘This album really became my medicine at a certain moment because, to be honest, I was really anxious. The uncertainty of not knowing what was going to happen, having to cancel a tour.

‘People were telling me, “Ricky, you’re never going to be able to go back on stage.” These are the things that were throwing at us. I believe that this album, Pausa, became my balance.’

Martin has been spending the lockdown at home in Los Angeles with Yosef, their twin sons Valentino and Matteo, both 12, daughter Lucia, two, and son Renn, one.

The Livin’ La Vida Loca artist revealed to ET Online in November that he and Yosef might not be done in the baby department just yet: ‘Some people think I’m crazy but I love a big family and I have a couple of embryos waiting for me. I don’t know. That’s all I got to say… Jwan is going crazy at the moment, but it’s OK, don’t tell him.’
