Married At First Sight star Seb Guilhaus, 31, (pictured) has revealed the heartbreaking truth to why he decided to call it quits with Elizabeth Sobinoff and moved back home to Adelaide

Seb, 31, said that despite being kept apart from Liz due to the global pandemic for six months, they tried their best to make the long-distance romance work.

In June last year, Seb and Lizzie were finally reunited and able to move in together after he was signed to the Inner West Magpies AFL.

‘I uprooted from Adelaide, left family and friends with an idea of the direction I wanted to head career wise but with nothing in stone,’ he said.

Having relocated to Sydney, Seb explained he ‘immediately felt totally isolated’.

‘It’s different culture, different energy, knowing very few people. Liz was my family and friends at that stage,’ he wrote.

Seb said that he was absolutely heartbroken after hearing his kitten, Little Savage, had passed away back in Adelaide.

Meanwhile the pandemic hit the couple harder, forcing Seb to cancel his wellness seminar.

‘I decide to take my wellness vision online and begin marketing for the first challenge,’ he explained.

Unfortunately for Seb, he fractured his leg and damaged three ligaments after his first football game for the club.

Seb then recalled the traumatic near-death experience while driving back to Adelaide.

Sharing a photo of the charred remains of his burnt-out Ford Falco, Seb explained: ‘I was driving 95km/hr and suddenly bursts into flames and I nearly go up with it.

At the time Seb’s car was filled with thousands of dollars worth of equipment and belongings now left in ash.
