EastEnders star Thomas Law is worlds away from teen Peter Beale as he surprises fans by playing a hunky detective in The Bay
EastEnders star Thomas Law made a surprise appearance in the second series of ITV’s The Bay, 11 years after leaving the soap.
The actor, 28, delighted viewers when he appeared in the police drama as DC Eddie Martin when it returned for its second series with an exciting ‘whodunnit.’
Thomas was the fifth actor to take on the role of Peter Beale in EastEnders in 2006 when he was just 14, but left the soap four years later.

Thomas first appeared in a scene which saw Morecambe’s police force investigating a grisly murder, alongside the returning DC Lisa Armstrong (played by Morven Christie) and DI Tony Manning (Daniel Ryan).
Many fans shared their delight at seeing the actor on-screen again over a decade after he bid farewell to Walford.
One tweeted: ‘That guy who was sat around the detectives table was the guy who used to play Peter Beale in EastEnders years ago, as soon as he spoke I recognised him.’

Thomas starred as teen Peter Beale from 2006 to 2010, and fled Albert Square after falling out with dad Ian about his affair with Glenda Mitchell.

Since his soap exit the actor has had a handful of roles including Casualty and a stage adaptation of Peter Pan.
The Bay made its much-anticipated return to screens on Wednesday night as Morecambe’s police force were called to the scene of a new murder.
In a shocking twist, after featuring heavily in the show’s trailers, Stephen Marshbrook (played by Stephen Tompkinson) was shot dead, with many of his family forming a long list of suspects.
The series has begun with DC Lisa on probation after breaking protocol last series, and her behaviour is continuing to cause tension with her two children.
The Bay continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV.
