This incredible footage showed a brave homeowner use his bare hands to rescue a hawk when it got stuck in his porch.

The rescuer, known only as Ryan, tried to use a cushion to direct the bird towards the door of the house somewhere in the US.

A group had spent the afternoon drinking at a local music festival before they got home to find the bird of prey trapped in their screened in porch.

The minute-long clip showed the hawk trying to get through the screen as it seemed to get more stressed by its predicament.

The rescuer, known only as Ryan, tried to use a cushion to direct the bird towards the door of the house somewhere in the US

Ryan used a red chair cushion to try to move the bird towards the wide-open door but it didn’t seem to understand and continued trying to get through the screen.

The rescuer didn’t want to get too close because the bird’s talons could be potentially deadly.

But eventually the hawk appeared to calm down, allowing Ryan to approach it.

The homeowner picked the bird up to the shock of those watching on. A man could be heard in the background saying: ‘Oh boy is he going to pick it up. Oh he got it, look at that.’
