Jennifer Lopez travels via private jet to DC for her performance at the Biden-Harris Inauguration

She is set to perform at the 59th Presidential Inauguration for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

And one day prior, Jennifer Lopez took to her Instagram to share a snap of herself before boarding her private jet to Washington D.C. 

The Tuesday morning post features the 51-year-old superstar in baggy trousers with a duster coat, hat and boots posing in front of her airplane.

Jennifer kept the caption short and sweet: ‘DC Bound…’ adding three hearts – one red, one white and one blue. 

Jennifer is set to perform at the Biden-Harris Inauguration, which takes place on Wednesday, January 20 in Washington D.C. at the US Capitol.

Hours after Jennifer’s post, Alex revealed that they have not only arrived to Washington DC but that they have arrived to their hotel as well. 

Alex, 45, appeared on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he revealed that Jennifer is ‘nervous’ about her Inauguration performance, via People.

Alex spoke about Jennifer’s wild year: ‘It’s been such a crazy year for her, so amazing, so many blessings. But to think in a span of 12 months, she’s done the Super Bowl, New Year’s [Eve] and now the inaugural, it’s unbelievable.’

Adding: ‘And what’s interesting is she’s most nervous about Washington, D.C. because of the responsibility.’ 

The former baseball player said Jennifer hopes to ‘bring people together’ and ‘inspire’ people with her performance at the inauguration.

Adding to Jimmy: ‘And you know, music and sports does that better than anything.’

Alex said that Jennifer has ‘something really cool’ prepared for her Inauguration performance, ‘you’re gonna be surprised, you’re gonna love it.’ 

It is not known what song or when and where exactly at the US Capitol Jennifer will perform; Lady Gaga is set to sing the national anthem for the swearing-in ceremony that will take place on the West front of the US Capitol, according to Variety.

Garth Brooks will also be performing at the Inauguration, People revealed.

Firefighter Andrea Hall will lead the Pledge of Allegiance with the first ever National Youth Laureate Amanda Gorman reciting a poem.

Father Leo O’Donovan will deliver an invocation with Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman will deliver a benediction. 

In addition, Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, John Legend, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen will be on hand for the inauguration.

John, Bruce and The Foo Fighters will be giving remote performances. 

A virtual primetime TV special hosted by Tom Hanks will feature Demi Lovato, Ant Clemons and Justin Timberlake.
