This is the heartwarming moment a rare monkey enjoys a bath after being born in captivity.
Footage shows zoo keepers at Philadelphia Zoo clean and feed the François’ langur monkey named Qúy Báu, which means ‘precious’ in Vietnamese, after she was ignored by her mother Mei Mei.
The one-month-old, who is the first of her species to be bred at the zoo, has now bonded with her mother and father Chester.

During a clip shared by the zoo, the small animal clings onto a zoo keeper’s hand as they dip her into the water.
The young creature is then wrapped in a warm blanket and fed before joining her parents.
Sharing the arrival of the new monkey the zoo posted on Facebook: ‘We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of our Zoo family – a baby François’ langur.
‘This little girl was born on December 13 to first time mum and dad Mei Mei and Chester.
‘This is the first birth of this species at the Zoo.’

The zoo later confirmed that the monkey has now bonded with her mother Mei Mei
It continued: ‘When she was first born, our team noticed Mei Mei wasn’t attending to her, which isn’t uncommon for first time moms.
‘So our vet staff took the baby to the animal hospital for a warming bath and some food.
‘Since then, she and mum have bonded and the entire family is doing great.
‘We’ve named her Quý Báu – pronounced Qwee-bow -which means ‘precious’ in Vietnamese.’
