EXCLUSIVE: Ajay Rochester slams I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for not punishing celebrities and giving them McDonald’s in the jungle after her difficult stint on the show

She competed on the 2019 season of I’m Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in the sweltering South African jungle.

And now Ajay Rochester has slammed this season of the reality program, claiming this year’s contestants have it ‘far better off’.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Monday, the 51-year-old said: ‘I’m questioning if I’m watching Celebrity Big Brother or I’m A Celebrity.’

Not impressed! Former contestant Ajay Rochester, 51, (pictured) has slammed this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here claiming the stars ‘have it easy’

‘They’re supposed to be in the jungle and Abbie Chatfield is sitting there with her fingers in Vegemite and being fed McDonald’s.’

Ajay said it ‘wasn’t fair’ and she was ‘outraged’ that celebrities on her season had it harder.

The Australian TV personality continued: ‘Jack Vidgen was able to sneak in a massive hoodie and it would have had to go through at least four different people so I don’t know how it ended up in there.’

‘There is absolutely no punishment for contraband,’ she said.

‘We had to eat kale for two days and only kale. We had to work our a** off for a little salt, yet there they are with herbs and spices and mattresses.’

‘They have openly delivered this cooking stuff to them, and yet Pettifleur (Berenger) still complains about the food – Where did she think she was going?’ Ajay added.

Last week, contestants Jess Eva, Toni Pearen and Travis Varcoe were surprised with McDonald’s meals during an episode of the reality competition.

Ajay, who remains in a group WhatsApp chat with her former campmates, said that Richard Reid, who won the 2019 series, also felt the same way.

‘This season is all wholesome and there is no drama because everyone is being taken care of, when you get hungry you get agitated and angry and that’s what we want (to see).’
