The 41-year-old told ET Online: ‘I feel really lucky, and it’s just wild. It truly feels like the most important thing that I will ever do in my life. Like, nothing else matters. Everything just changes in your life. He’ll come first.’

She revealed that she still gets panic attacks while setting up the nursery and reading books, which she chalks up to ‘that first time mom craziness.’

Suvari added that she’s hoping for a home birth: ‘But I feel really lucky that I have a great group of women. I have an amazing midwife, a doula and I already have postpartum doulas that I’m talking to.’

She also explained how she found out she was pregnant: ‘I went away in August to work on a film and I thought I’d be jet lagged for a while. But I wasn’t jet lagged.’

‘I was driving to work every day, but I’d be like, crying on the way to work. I’d be like, bawling on the freeway,’ she continued, which she thought was because she’s ‘just an emotional person.’

The Sugar & Spice actress was previously told by doctors that she wouldn’t be able to conceive due to her age, even though she didn’t ‘feel 40.’

She said: ‘One of the biggest gifts that [my doctor] gave me when I came back from filming in August was he said, “I am so happy that you trusted in your body that you listened to your body.”

‘And that just meant the world to me, because I spent so much time doubting it and having emotional breakdowns over it, thinking, “It’s all over.” And it wasn’t.’

Suvari and husband Michael Hope revealed their pregnancy to People back in October, two years after tying the knot in October of 2018.

The American Pie actress told Access this week that they’re naming their son Christopher Alexander: ‘We’re naming him after my husband’s father who passed away when he was really young. Bringing it back around.’
