Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson gives fans a taste of his humor and extraordinary rise to superstardom in new teaser for NBC’s Young Rock

From his days as an awkward youngster and a promising career in professional football, to his life as a championship wrestler and an A-list action star.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has had quite the rise to fame and fortune, and his formidable years are now being chronicled with a heavy dose of humor in the new sitcom series, Young Rock, on NBC.

And on Saturday, he gave his fans a glimpse at the upcoming series with Adrian Groulx playing him as a 10-year-old; Bradley Constant steps in as his 15 years old version; and Uli Latukefu plays his 18 to 20-year-old self.

‘Ladies and gents, here’s your first look at @nbcyoungrock,’ he began in the caption of the teaser.

Young Rock takes viewers on a journey of his humble beginnings as a school boy that cleverly gives a nod and a wink to his future endeavors that includes his venture into the tequila business. 

‘I really wish my dad was around to see this one. Maaaaan he would’ve been proud. And yes, I was clearly kicking puberty’s a** at 15yrs old and becoming a tequila tycoon by the time I was 10.’ 

With obvious excitement in his voice, he added, ‘I can’t wait to make you and your families laugh a little and share some life lessons I’ve learned along the way.’

The teaser also gives fans a look at some of the vital people who helped inspire and shape his mind and body into the athlete-turned movie-star-turned entrepreneur, which includes his father Rocky Johnson, who’s played by Joseph Lee Anderson.   

Stacey Leilua plays his mother Ata Johnson.  

According to Deadline, Johnson will ‘appear in each episode’ of the series. 

Young Rock is set to premiere on NBC February 16, 2021.
