An emotional Tammin Sursok breaks down in tears as she discusses her husband Sean McEwen’s battle with COVID-19 and says he is ‘really weak and hasn’t eaten in two weeks’

Tammin Sursok broke down in tears as she discussed her husband Sean McEwen’s coronavirus battle on Friday. 

In an emotional Instagram post, the actress said Sean is very weak and is suffering from a fever. 

‘Hi guys, so update is my husband is still really weak. He can’t really move much, his fever has gone down but he still has a fever and it’s spiking,’ she told fans.

‘He hasn’t really eaten in two weeks so we’re trying to figure that out. He started on a medication called ivermectin… I just picked up his second dose,’ she said.

Tammin also said her husband needs to have ‘some blood tests but it has been such a logistical nightmare’.

‘No one can come and draw blood because he is COVID positive and I can’t get him anywhere because we can’t expose our family.’

‘We are on day 13 or 14 so we are exhausted. Thank you for your messages,’ Tammin added while breaking down in tears.

‘There have been people who have said they’ll drive him to the hospital so it’s been really nice.’

Tammin tearfully announced that her husband, film producer Sean, had contracted coronavirus on Wednesday.

The heartbroken mother of two said she was ‘scared’ of what could happen to her family as she quarantines with her daughters in Texas.

‘My husband has Covid and I’m scared. Today I’m not as scared as yesterday, but yesterday I felt very out of control,’ she said.

‘It was rough and touch and go. All the hospitals are full and his fever of 103 wouldn’t break for days and it got to a very scary place,’ she added.

Tammin explained that she and her daughters, Phoenix, six, and Lennon, two, have tested negative and aren’t showing symptoms. However, they’ve been quarantining together and following Covid-19 guidelines to stay safe.

‘We have been in the same place in Austin for two months now. Haven’t seen friends and family, haven’t eaten out, [Phoenix] is homeschooled,’ she said.

‘The only place we could have got it is the grocery store [because] we haven’t been near anyone and the whole family is always masked.

‘Covid is real. It’s scary and I now see it first hand. I’ve been really scared and in a dark place… I’m struggling and I love you all and this community.’

The former Home and Away star finished by urging people to ‘please wear a mask’, before saying: ‘This is not something you want to get.’

Tammin met her husband in 2007, when she was auditioning for his film Albino Farm. The couple married in 2011 in Florence, Italy.
