Sunrise viewers call for Natalie Barr to permanently REPLACE Samantha Armytage

Sunrise newsreader Natalie Barr has been filling in for host Samantha Armytage for the past few weeks.

And now, viewers of the show have called Natalie to permanently replace Sam as co-host alongside David ‘Kochie’ Koch.

‘Love Matt [Doran] and Nat. Work well as a team!! No awkwardness like Sam and any other co host and Kochie at times,’ one person wrote.

‘Nat and Monique [Wright] are the new team, these are the people you want to run the show,’ another person said.

One person said:’Good to see Sam on the out[side], very bossy and loves taking over Matt with her suggestions!!’

While some viewers called for Natalie to replace Sam, others are yearning for Sam’s return to Channel Seven’s breakfast program.

‘When will Sam and Kochie be back ??? Not the same without them,’ one person said. Another person commented: ‘Can’t wait for Samantha to be back…’

 

Sam is still on leave from Sunrise after tying the knot with millionaire Richard Lavender.

The pair married at his home around midday on New Year’s Eve , and then moved to a luncheon at the Centennial Vineyards Restaurant in Bowral.

It’s said to have been an intimate ceremony with a ‘small number of guests’ due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with Richard’s daughters Sasha and Grace and Sam’s beloved dog Banjo believed to be in attendance.

Of the event, a source told Daily Mail Australia: ‘Champagne was flowing, and at one point they had several (five) waiters attending to their every needs.

‘However, they didn’t get any VIP treatment and while they were away from other guests, they were amount sitting among locals and tourists.’

Sam and Richard, who have been reportedly dating since last April, confirmed their romance in November last year.
