A smiley Samoyed dog and grumpy cat have won a legion of Instagram followers due to their unlikely but adorable friendship.
Rinsa Li, 29, from Christchurch, New Zealand, loves taking pictures of her two pets Casper, a six-year-old Samoyed, and Romeo, a two-year-old cat.
The pair love spending time together, from cuddling up on the sofa to going on long walks around the countryside together.
Despite the relationship, Romeo can’t get rid of his hilarious grumpy expression which leaves strangers giggling taken next to Casper’s very happy face.

Photographer Rinsa takes her pets out for two hours together everyday and the best pals have also been on road trips and visited popular tourist attractions as a pair.
They now have more than 38,000 followers on their joint Instagram account which highlights all of their fun, adventurous moments together.
‘I always wanted to get a cat but I was unsure how Casper would react to it; when my best friend got a cat I took Casper to meet him and it turned out he was very gentle and sweet so we decided to look for our dream cat,’ owner Rinsa explained.
‘Now, the pair can’t be apart from each other. When I first brought Romeo home, we separated them for almost a week but Casper was very curious.

Owner Rinsa says: ‘The pair can’t be apart from each other. When I first brought Romeo home, we separated them for almost a week but Casper was very curious’
Rinsa also revealed Romeo is ‘king of the house’ but secretly wants Casper’s attention.
‘Romeo was nervous and scared at first because Casper was so big and fluffy but Casper was so sweet.
‘He would go up to Romeo and smell him and if Romeo got scared, he would gently move away.
Rinsa said that she always wanted to get a cat but I was unsure how Casper would react to it – but the pair are now best of friends

Discussing when she first got the cat, Rinsa explained: ‘Romeo was nervous and scared at first because Casper was so big and fluffy but Casper was so sweet’
Despite looking grumpy, Rinsa says Romeo is the ‘the sweetest cat I have ever met; he allows everyone to hold him and gives great cuddles.
Rinsa takes the pair on road trips and recently they came back from a road trip with them which lasted for two weeks
‘Romeo is the king of the house but he always secretly follows Casper around seeking his attention.
‘It feels like Romeo has a dog personality and Casper has a cat personality sometimes.
‘Romeo looks grumpy but he is the sweetest cat I have ever met; he allows everyone to hold him and gives great cuddles.
‘We take them exploring on road trips and recently came back from a road trip with them which lasted for two weeks and we stayed in a camper van together.
‘It warms my heart so much to see them as siblings and I enjoy waking up to the both of them everyday; I can’t imagine a life without them.’
