Natasha Oakley is mocked for misspelling the word ‘throwback’ – as fans accuse her of Photoshopping

Natasha Oakley has discovered the perils of being an Insta-famous bikini blogger, after she was roasted for misspelling the word ‘throwback’ on Wednesday.

The Australian model, 30, who has earned millions from selling swimwear online, caught the attention of popular account Celeb Spellcheck when she uploaded a racy photo of herself posing on a staircase, alongside an unintelligible caption.

‘Do you guys want me to post more through back [sic] stories from other locations?’ the garbled sentence read.

Whoops! Natasha Oakley has discovered the perils of being an Insta-famous bikini blogger, after she was roasted for misspelling the word ‘throwback’ on Wednesday

Celeb Spellcheck, a profile dedicated to correcting influencers’ bad spelling, re-uploaded Natasha’s disastrous post alongside a snarky caption that was itself purposefully misspelled.

‘This through me off,’ the account joked.

Natasha presumably meant to write ‘throwback’, as the accompanying photo was taken in November 2019, at the Revolve Awards after-party in LA.

However, that didn’t stop Celeb Spellcheck’s followers from skewering the blonde over her typo, with one commenting: ‘The entire sentence is f**ked.’

‘Instant headache trying to figure this one out,’ another wrote.

However, the criticism didn’t stop there, as other fans noticed a strange detail about Natasha’s arm.

Eagle-eyed users noticed Natasha’s right arm appeared to blend into the staircase behind her.

‘I get distracted from trying to decipher this mess by the fact that her arm is beginning to morph into the stairs. So much going on in this pic. I’m overwhelmed. I need a nap,’ one fan mused.

‘Just casually impaling my arm on the stair,’ laughed another.

However, the detail must have been a trick of the light, as Natasha claims she ‘doesn’t edit’ her social media photos.

In November 2019, the same month when the staircase photo was taken, she told The Daily Telegraph insisted that she only airbrushes ‘campaign’ photos she uses to sell her bikini brand.

‘I’m very open and transparent about the fact that all of our campaign images are edited because they go on billboards and they’re large images but anything for social media we don’t edit,’ she said.

Celeb Spellcheck has attracted criticism in recent months, with the likes of Skye Wheatley and Tayla Damir accusing the page of ‘bullying’ them by correcting their spelling.

The admin has denied bullying the influencers she features on the account, saying: ‘This page is meant to be lighthearted and fun. I have definitely posted things in the past that I’m not proud of, but I do try to never cross the line.’

The account previously made headlines when it shared a screenshot of model Elyse Knowles misspelling ‘voilà’ as ‘wallah’. The gaffe went viral in December when it was picked up by U.S. social media sensation Joshua Ostrovsky, a.k.a. The Fat Jewish.
