British viewers react to the 2019 season of Married At First Sight Australia

The sixth season of Married At First Sight is airing in the United Kingdom, two years after it hit Australian TV screens.

And 10 days in, British viewers are reveling in the memorable moments that shocked Australian fans to the core. 

In a series of posts to Twitter, fans have strong opinions of Ines Basic, Sam Ball, even Lizzie Sobinoff cooking a slice of pizza in the toaster.

‘I’m on ep 7 of new Married At First Sight Australia and someone puts a slice of pizza down sideways into the toaster like it’s nothing! WHAT!’ one wrote, before another responded: ‘Mate I thought this. Psychopathic behaviour.’ 

Viewers also commented on the breakdown of LIzzie’s relationship with on-screen husband Sam Ball, who made headlines for ‘fat shaming’ her. 

‘Oh my god!!! Sam is fat shamming Lizzie, who is NOT FAT!!! What an absolute pr*ck!! This is why your single mate. Not the tattoos. It’s your vile personality,’ one fan wrote. 

Another commented: ‘I couldn’t believe that. Lizzie just looks like a normal size woman to me. He is one grade A pr*ck.’ 

Others, however, honed in on Sam’s affair with Ines Basic, who was initially paired with Bronson Norrish.

‘If Ines was a year, she’d be 2020,’ one tweeted, before another added: ‘I’m sorry but the “experts” need to be held accountable here. How can you link Ines up with anyone? She clearly needs some professional help… not a husband.’

‘I really hope Bronson gives it to the “experts” cos they should be f***ing shot for putting him with that piece of work,’ a third wrote. 

Viewers also acknowledged the sexual tension between Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, who are still together in 2021.

‘The way Michael looks at Martha in a bikini is the way I look at carbs when I’m dieting,’ one said, before another added: ‘Martha and Michael. We need a happy ending!’ 

Viewers also noticed the ‘good vibes’ between Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant, who tied the knot in November 2019.

‘Jules and Cam I’ve got such good vibes from them. I think this could be the pair that makes it, really, hopefully. I can’t help it. I believe in love,’ one tweeted.
