Jessica Rowe has paid tribute to her husband of seventeen years, Peter Overton, on their wedding anniversary.

Uploading a post to her Instagram account, Jessica, 50, gushed about her 54-year-old husband, alongside a photo of the pair posing at Bondi Icebergs.

She wrote: ‘Seventeen years and one day ago we stood on this balcony and began our life together.’

Nine newsreader Peter has been married to former TV host and author Jessica since 2004. 

The loved-up couple share two children, daughter Allegra, 13, and Giselle, 11.

Jessica is best known for her co-hosting role on Studio 10, which she stepped down from in March 2018 to spend more time with her family.

Taking to Twitter, Peter applauded his wife’s ‘courageous’ decision to leave the program.

‘To make a decision to leave a job you love takes courage,’ he said. 

‘Jess and I have had some long talks about this and the bottom line is our little girls need their mum.’
