Sonia Kruger is rumoured to be joining a Channel Seven morning show in 2021 – after already being confirmed as the host of FOUR popular shows

Sonia Kruger will be very busy in 2021 as she fronts some of Channel Seven’s biggest reality and entertainment programs.

And now there is speculation she could take on an additional role on one of the network’s popular breakfast programs.

An industry insider told Woman’s Day that Seven have ‘concentrated all their programming around Sonia’s signing’ and wish to utilize the 55-year-old host’s talents in any way possible.

Former Nine star and Today Extra host Sonia jumped ship to Seven in November 2019 after being offered ‘more than $1million a year’, according to intel supplied by a source to Daily Mail Australia.       

‘The network has concentrated all their programming around Sonia’s signing because she’s diverse, she’s across so many programs and can successfully front anything,’ the souce told Woman’s Day.

They added a spot on Sunrise, or a similar breakfast slot could be in the works, adding: ‘She’s proved she can work across the entire entertainment spectrum.’

Sunrise is hosted by Samantha Armytage and David ‘Kochie’ Koch, with its entertainment segments often covered by Nelson Aspen and Edwina Bartholomew.

She will spread her hosting expertise across Big Brother, The Voice, Holey Moley and Dancing With The Stars (DWTS).

Seven have only recently acquired The Voice (formerly Nine) and DWTS (formerly 10) from other networks for 2021, and Holey Moley is an entirely new network series.

In October, the network revealed Sonia would no longer serve as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent: Challengers & Champions. 

Seven’s director of programming, Andrew Backwell, told TV Tonight: ‘Sonia is on some of our biggest shows, we don’t need her on AGT too.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Sonia Kruger and Channel Seven for comment.
