Kate Ritchie, 42, shares a rare photo with her daughter Mae, six

Kate Ritchie is celebrating the small things in life.

The former Home and Away star shared a photo to Instagram on Monday of herself getting a hug from her six-year-old daughter, Mae.

The 42-year-old posted the selfie while soaking up the sun in the backyard of her home in Burradoo, in the NSW Southern Highlands.

Mae hugged her mother from behind as the Nova radio presenter cradled her head.

Kate, who wore a pair of oversized sunglasses, wrote in the caption: ‘#nofilter and hate to be that person but just #grateful.’

The brunette’s gratitude post comes after unconfirmed reports her marriage to retired rugby league player Stuart Webb is in trouble.

New Idea alleged in April that Kate and Stuart had been attending ‘counselling’ to resolve their marital issues.

‘Stuart has been trying to show Kate that he’s a changed man and is serious about getting his life in order,’ a friend told the magazine.

Kate reportedly moved out of their marital home in Randwick in late 2019 after police took out an interim AVO on her behalf against the retired NRL star, following an incident at the property.

In December 2019, Stuart’s five-time drink driving history was revealed in a police fact sheet, as he faced court for blowing 0.083 when he was pulled over by highway patrolmen in the city’s east in March of that year.

The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Launceston, Tasmania, in 2010.

Kate and Stuart welcomed their daughter, Mae, in August, 2014.
