I’m A Celebrity stars Grant Denyer and Travis Varcoe forge a close bond as they break down in tears over missing their young children

On Monday night’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia, Grant Denyer and Travis Varcoe were left in tears over missing their families.

Grant, 43, caught Travis’ attention when he opened a small music box that played the lullaby, Rock A Bye Baby.

‘It’s a sweet little song that one, isn’t it? Something to remember the kids by. I’d just do anything for a cuddle, though,’ Grant said.

Travis, 32, tenderly took the box in his hands and admitted that it was hard being away from his family.

‘Oh, boy, yeah. Just a little… phone call or a conversation. Even just a “Hey, are you going?”‘

When Travis said those words, Grant became emotional, tears screaming down his cheeks.

Travis said in his own piece to camera: ‘This is the longest time I’ve spent away without being able to speak. You always have FaceTime and phone calls and all that.

‘It pulls on a few heartstrings. And we get caught out at different stages. And it’s just nice to be able to just have that note of, like, you know, “I’m with you.”‘

Back in camp, Travis said to Grant that he never expected to feel this way – and both men wept, with Grant laying a comforting hand on his sobbing pal.

Grant said later:  ‘It was great to see Trav open up like that and feel the same as me. I didn’t feel so silly or so alone, being a guy crying in the corner in the middle of the jungle! Instead, it was two guys crying in the corner in the middle of the jungle.’
