I’m A Celebrity star Toni Pearen screams in horror while being pelted in the face with ants and worms as she faces her fear of heights scaling a ‘tower of terror’ 40 metres in the air
On Monday night’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia, Toni Pearen faced one of her fears – heights.
In a gruelling challenge, the former E Street actress had to scale a tower dozens of feet in the air above her, and set off a series of flares to win stars for the camp.
The higher she climbed, and the more stars she managed to get in ten minutes, the more food the 48-year-old would win for herself and her campmates.

While the actual height of the structure was not given, host Julia Morris described it as ’20 Dr Chrisses’.
Her co-host, Dr Chris Brown, is close to 2 metres in height, meaning the imposing structure was approximately 40 metres off the ground.
The actress admitted that she suspected she had a fear of heights as she’d always avoided them – and yet she bravely took on the harrowing task, and quickly found herself consumed by adrenaline.

‘This is friggin’ magnificent. You don’t know how scared my family are of heights. I am proving something to them right now,’ she said excitedly.
It wasn’t all fun however, with Toni screaming in terror multiple times as she struggled to hold on while being pelted in the face with buckets of ants and worms.
‘You didn’t tell me that!’ she said after letting out a high-pitched shriek, clearly not expecting the creepy crawlies to be part of the task.
‘Oh, my legs are shaking now’ she said, before insisting she was okay and carrying on.

Toni powered through, getting all eleven stars, and she was delighted by her own efforts.
She breathlessly said the challenge was, ‘Like nothing I’ve ever felt in my whole life. Oh, my God.’
The former pop star was a hero with her camp mates, bringing back a complete set of stars and ensuring they feasted for dinner.
‘It was such an amazing feeling. I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. Having all these people around me jumping up and down with joy,’ she said.
You did it! Toni powered through, getting all eleven stars, and she was delighted by her own efforts. She breathlessly said the challenge was, ‘Like nothing I’ve ever felt in my whole life’
