Cody Simpson imitates Rhys Ifans’ iconic character Spike from the movie Notting Hill… and wears a VERY naughty T-shirt

Proving he’s a man of many talents, Cody Simpson showed off his acting chops in a video posted to his Instagram page on Monday.

The 24-year-old singer, poet and Olympic swimming hopeful shared a video of himself imitating Rhys Ifans in an iconic scene from the 1999 movie, Notting Hill.

Attempting a Welsh accent, Cody recreated a scene where Rhys’ bumbling character Spike tried on a series of inappropriate T-shirts ahead of a date.

‘Right, I’m at last going out on a date with the great Jeanine and I just need to be sure I picked the right T-shirt…’ said Cody, emerging from his bedroom shirtless.

Meanwhile, a woman behind the camera could be heard reciting the lines for Hugh Grant’s character, William.

‘What are your choices?’ she asked, prompting Cody to respond, ‘Well, wait for it…’ before walking back into his bedroom.

He then emerged moments later, wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the message, ‘You’re the most beautiful woman in the world’ written across the front of it.

‘Well, yeah. It’s perfect,’ responded the woman, as Cody as Spike told her, ‘Great. Thanks. Wish me luck,’ before turning and waddling back into his bedroom.

As he walked away, the rude message printed on the back of his T-shirt became visible: ‘Fancy a f**?’

Cody was just two years old when the movie came out, but he’s clearly a fan of the classic rom-com.

The film features Hugh, 60, as a mild-mannered bookseller who falls in love with a Hollywood movie star, played by Julia Roberts, after a chance encounter.

‘The Notting Hill Spike T-Shirt Scene,’ Cody simply captioned his video.
