DaBaby was arrested in Beverly Hills Thursday after police said they found a loaded and concealed handgun in his possession.

The rapper, 29, had a 9mm inside his vehicle, a spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department told CBSLA.

Law enforcement sources told the station that they were called to the area at around 4:37 p.m. after security with the Gucci’s Rodeo Drive location called in to report a man carrying a weapon in his waistband while walking with friends.

As the entertainer, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, and his friends were in a black SUV ahead departing, a group of police said they made contact with the group, as seen in a clip on TMZ.

The officers asked the men in the vehicle to roll down their windows, and later handcuffed the rap artist.

‘That is the gun that is part of this investigation; that is the gun we’re glad didn’t hurt anyone today,’ an officer told the outlet when asked by a photographer about the firearm.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native was with three men leaving the establishment Moncler, as a police insider told the outlet that a person inside Moncler had contacted them to report the weapons violation.

In the incident, all four men were detained, and DaBaby was the only one arrested.

The rapper’s arrest comes about two months after the tragic death of his brother Glenn Johnson, who took his own life by shooting himself in the head, the outlet reported.

The rapper took to social media with a memorial to Johnson with a lyric from one of his tracks, Intro: ‘My brother be thinkin’ that we don’t love him and let him struggle like we ain’t family. Like I won’t give up all I got to see you, n****.’
