RHONJ’s Melissa Gorga sits on a pile of her packed boxes as she says goodbye to her lavish mansion

Melissa Gorga is finally saying goodbye to the lavish New Jersey mansion she offloaded last year for $2.5 million.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star, 41, posted several Instagram photos of herself sitting upon a pile of packed up boxes as she prepared to part ways with her home.

‘Officially said goodbye,’ she captioned the slideshow of images. ‘Feels like the end of era or something. But I’m all about new beginnings so I’m very excited. I will update you soon as to where we are going.’

She also gave a shoutout to the moving company Roadway Moving, who she said ‘handed me tissues when I started to cry! ‘

The Bravo star looked cool and comfortable wearing black leggings, a star print hoodie, and a cup of Joe to keep her energized in hand.

She blew a kiss towards her lavish home, which was featured on the series The Real Housewives Of New Jersey.

Melissa and her husband Joe finally sold the mansion following four previously unsuccessful attempts last year.

The Gorga mansion was nabbed for the heavily discounted price of $2.5million, according to Variety.

The home, which sits on 2.24 acres, was listed in November of 2009 for $4.1 million but it was taken off the market.

In 2010 it was up for sale again at $3.8 million but there were no takers.

Then again in 2017 the home was listed, that time at $3.5 million, before it was de-listed.

And earlier last year, it was put back on the market for approximately 3million, before finally being snapped up for two-and-a-half million.

Despite the heavily reduced price, Gorga, 41, seemed delighted by the sale when she took to Instagram to write, ‘Our family home for the last 12 years is Officially Sold [HEARTBROKEN EMOJI]’.

The home is in the one of the posh neighborhoods of New Jersey called ‘The Pond.’

The power couple bought the home in 2007 for $950,000 and the professional house flipper then went to work to make it a grand mansion.

There are a total of 16 rooms in the mansion that has frequently been seen on RHONJ.

The lavish home is rich with upgrades including an English slate roof with copper gutters, an Italian marble foyer, dual marble staircases with wrought-iron banisters, and rounded cedar French doors.

In typically over the top style, the home is covered in chandeliers, carved bookcases, gilded details and domed ceilings.

Two of the bedrooms are decorated for Gorga’s three children – daughter Antonia and sons Gino and Joey – one room is done in pink and another has a sports theme.

The home also features a home theater, wine room and a library. A music recording studio was also added as Melissa pursued a singing career.

And there is a home gym as well.

The backyard is a show stopper with a blue-bottom lap pool that has scalloped edges and surrounding square pavers that are lined by grass.

Mature trees surround the property which keeps out any sign of neighbors.

A back patio is big enough for a dining room table, bar and barbecue area.

The agent was Joshua Baris of N.J. Lux Real Estate.
