Radio host Ben Fordham is forced to wade into water to retrieve a $50 bill after the money blew out of his pocket during a family fishing trip

Ben Fordham found himself trying to catch more than just fish during a recent family fishing expedition.

In a series on video posts on Instagram on Wednesday, the 44-year-old radio host revealed he’d been fishing on a pier when a $50 note blew out of his pocket and into the water.

He then shared a series of videos of the $50 note bobbing up and down in the water, before vowing he’d be reunited with it.

‘What about this… 50 bucks flew out of my pocket and into the water,’ he said in a video posted to Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

A determined Ben then added: ‘But I will get it. Mark my words, I will get it.’ 

He then panned the camera over to a pier some way from where he was standing, and explained that’s where he was when he lost the money.

‘That’s where I lost the 50 bucks… Look. Come on, baby! Come to me, come to me,’ he urged the $50 bill, which could be seen floating in the water nearby.

In another video posted to Instagram Stories, Ben seemed thrilled with his catch as he addressed the camera directly.

Speaking to 9Honey Celebrity on Thursday, Ben said he was planning on using the runaway money to buy ‘a bottle of wine and some fish and chips’.
