I’m a Celebrity’s Ash Williams and Abbie Chatfield continue to flirt over Instagram

Channel 10 star Ed Kavalee finally confirmed the persistent rumours that Abbie Chatfield and Ash Williams ‘hooked up’ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! this week. 

And it seems that the pair are still flirting, even after leaving the jungle late last year. 

On Tuesday night, Abbie shared a video of her mother saying that Ash ‘looks a bit like Pat Rafter’, before the hunky comedian re-posted it on his own Instagram story alongside the comment ‘lol, I’ll take it’. 

He then fueled more fire to romance rumours when he shared a screenshot Abbie posted which revealed how she has saved his contact in her phone as ‘Ash Williams, 45 camels’.

‘Always and forever. 45 camels babe, 45 camels,’ Abbie wrote in her original caption.

It comes after Ed Kavalee, who is one of Channel 10’s most popular stars, confirmed that Abbie and Ash hooked up on I’m A Celebrity, which was pre-recorded late last year.

On Tuesday, Ed told Hit Hobart’s Jimmy and Nath: ‘He hooked up with Abbie Chatfield in the jungle. He’s Australia’s loosest person. He’s got the smell of lawsuits following him.’

The Have You Been Paying Attention? star, 41, made the admission while discussing the fact Ash has a bizarre side hustle selling photos of his bare feet online. 

Rumours have been swirling for weeks that the pair got together while filming the show in northern NSW in November last year.

Abbie and Ash ‘became quite the item – so much so that things continued [between] them after the cameras stopped rolling,’ TV Blackbox reports. 

Meanwhile, Woman’s Day claims ‘a romance definitely heats up’ between them and their ‘union throws other campers off’.

Interestingly, during Sunday night’s season premiere, Abbie went into the jungle with the mindset of steering clear of potential flings.

‘I’m not getting involved in love on TV ever again,’ she said. 

Abbie and Ash had an awkward encounter when they first met for a challenge.

The funnyman told her she’d ignored his direct message on Instagram when he reached out to her in 2019, after watching her get her heart broken on The Bachelor.

‘Yeah, yeah. I DM’d you a while ago,’ he said. 

A visibly shocked Abbie responded: ‘Oh… was it anything nefarious? I often get pictures when I get DM’d.’

‘I think you saw it. It said “seen”. But it’s okay,’ Ash said. ‘No, you were busy. You just got off The Bachelor. It’s all good.’
