‘I don’t know if I should look away!’ Holly Willoughby is left red-faced as Sheridan Smith’s dogs appear to get intimate behind her during chaotic interview

Sheridan Smith’s dogs left Holly Willoughby red-faced on Wednesday’s This Morning, after they appeared to get intimate behind the actress.

The Cilla star, 39, was telling the presenter, 39, and Phillip Schofield, 58, about her new BBC dog grooming show Pooch Perfect, while her four pets played behind her.

Sheridan’s dogs appeared to be in good spirits as they animatedly scrapped with each other, before their games seemed to take an unexpectedly intimate turn.

Prior to the racy interaction, Sheridan apologised to Holly and Phil as the dogs were playing together, with Holly asking: ‘Is that normal behaviour for them behind you? Just checking everything is okay.’

Feeling embarrassed, Sheridan said: ‘No, this is normal. They said they wanted chaos, I’m sorry, and I said are you sure?’

She attempted to calm down the dogs as they continued to play with each other, but she joked to Holly and Phil: ‘You can tell I’m really good with my dogs they’re well trained.’

Further chaos ensued when one dog appeared to jump up behind the other one, suggesting that they were going to get intimate.

Sheridan looked shocked as she tried to cover up the screen with her hands, as Phil laughed and said: ‘oh, oh hello!’

Getting red-faced, Holly added: ‘I don’t know if I should look away!’

Trying to alleviate the situation, Phil then quipped: ‘Possibly you could tighten the shot slightly, tilt up!’

Viewers couldn’t help but get distracted during the interview by the dogs, and they shared how funny they found the incident via Twitter.

One person joked: ‘No-ones listening to what Sheridan Smith’s talking about we’re more interested int the dogs scraping and trying to mount each other in the background. (sic)’

While another viewer cheekily added: ‘Definitely some “doggy-style” going on now.’

Sharing their amusement about the incident, one wrote: ‘Sorry, what? I’m getting way too focused on the dogs… but I guess it’s a good thing!’
