High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens and MLB player Cole Tucker are reportedly ‘girlfriend and boyfriend’ after seven weeks of dating.

At 32, the MTV Movie & TV Awards host is eight years older than the Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop/outfielder, and they were first spotted on a ‘date night’ on November 22 in Los Angeles.

An insider told E! News on Tuesday that Vanessa and Cole became an exclusive couple after ringing ‘in the New Year together.’

And the half-Filipina SoCal native was most likely visiting her biracial beau when she took a road trip to his Phoenix hometown on November 30.

Vanessa claimed she was single as recent as November 17 when she told ET about what qualities she looked for in a boyfriend.

‘Like, I know what I want and I’m like, if someone comes into the picture and can give me all those things, then great, it doesn’t matter if they’re in the public eye or not – if anything I prefer them not to be but we’ll see, we’ll see.’

But Cole might be busy through January 23 as he’s ‘really excited’ to donate food, COVID resources, and baseball equipment to Black communities across the country with the Players Alliance.

On November 11, Vanessa wrapped her role as actress Karessa Johnson in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s directorial debut Tick, Tick… Boom! which streams on Netflix later this year.

The musical drama is based on composer Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning, semi-autobiographical play from 1990.
