Love Island star Marcel Somerville’s heavily pregnant fiancée Rebecca Vieira fought back tears as she revealed she may have to give birth alone after the government introduced a third lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The businesswoman, 24, who is expecting a boy with the Blazin’ Squad rapper, 34, took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to admit she ‘wasn’t able to sleep all night’ and her head is ‘all over the place’ as she’s two weeks away from her due date.

Influencer Rebecca also expressed her frustration at the prospect of not being able to welcome her child at home as she confessed: ‘I don’t want to go to the hospital right now’.

The model wrote: ‘I’ve been awake since 3:30am. My spirit is troubled & my head is just all over the place.

‘So the government cancel all homebirths, your partners can’t be with your for your whole labour but your still allowed to go and live your best life in Dubai and come back like it’s nothing. Ok. Makes sense.’

YouTuber Rebecca became emotional as she elaborated her thoughts in a separate video.

She complained: ‘I haven’t been able to sleep all night. I just don’t understand it. I’m literally two weeks away from giving birth, and they do this.

‘My only birth plan was to have a home birth, that was the most important thing to me… to have Marcel there the whole time.

‘I have to speak to my midwife today so I’m going to tell her how I’m feeling because I do not want to go to hospital right now.’

At present, the NHS website states pregnant women will be able to have a birth partner during labour and the birth if they do not have symptoms of coronavirus, while some homebirths can still go ahead.

But there may be limits on how long they can stay after the birth. If the birth partner has coronavirus symptoms, the NHS advises to have a backup birth partner.

The blonde and the reality star announced they were expecting their first child in July 2020, with loved-up Marcel popping the question to his partner a month later.

In a video shared to social media, the artist dropped to one knee after they pulled poppers which released blue confetti, leaving Rebecca, who said yes, in tears of joy.

A source told OK! Online: ‘Marcel didn’t tell anyone that he was going to propose, even his best friends, he did not tell anyone that he was planning it so it was a whole surprise for everyone.

‘Rebecca cried and every one at the party was crying, it was really emotional and every one was super happy.’
