In the clip, Jamie waved the keys at the camera before walking into his father’s bedroom and tossing them to him.

In response, his dad said: ‘Why did you give me them for?’

Jamie told him he had ‘just paid off the mortgage’, adding: ‘You now own this whole house. I swear. You’ve worked your whole life so now you can actually retire.’

His father shook his head, repeating the word ‘no’, while Jamie tried to convince him it was the truth.

He insisted he couldn’t accept the gesture, but Jamie told him: ‘I’ve already done it.’

Richard added: ‘You’re the best son in the world you can have.’

Meanwhile he went on to hand the keys back to his son, saying: ‘It’s in the will. The house is yours – what’s mine is yours.’
