Christina Anstead opens up about working through past trauma and her wellness journey in a new series now streaming on Discovery+.

In a clip of Christina: Stronger by Design, which was unveiled by PEOPLE on Monday, the HGTV star discusses how she successfully coparents her two children with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa who she also co-hosts Flip or Flop with.

Coming out of another failed relationship, after separating from second husband Ant Anstead in September, Christina, 37, also talks about how she’s finding peace and releasing past traumas.

The blonde beauty has Brayden, five, and Taylor, 10, with Tarek, 39, who she split from in 2018 after nine years of marriage.

She also has son Hudson, 15 months, with British TV host Ant.

Christina will be working on small projects in her home and discussing her wellness strategy in the new series.

Christina reveals she did a project with her kids where they wrote out ‘all the things we want to leave behind in 2020 and what we want to bring into 2021.’

‘One of my things I plan to leave behind is living my life based on others’ opinions, and something I plan to bring into 2021 is new adventures,’ she shares.

Of 2020, she says she’s ‘taken this year to really dive deep into releasing past traumas and getting to know me again and what makes me happy.’

Her new show will also spotlight her friendships with Shannon Houston and Cassie Zebisch, who she chats with about life, motherhood and new beginnings.

‘I have a few very close friends who I trust and can confide in,’ she says. ‘Close friendships are so important to me, and despite all the chaos of this year, my friendships have stayed consistent.’

She continues to explain that her new show is ‘about exploring all the things I’m doing to enrich my mind, body and soul,’

‘You’ll see me visit my acupuncturist, explore different forms of naturopathy, do yoga and strategize about the next stages of my wellness journey.’

‘I also invite you into my home to see how I get my day started each morning, and talk about plans for the future with Cassie [Zebish] and Shannon [Houston],’ she adds of her two friends who make regular appearances.

There will be four themed episodes which deal with different parts of Christina’s life. Episode one will focus on friends and family, episode two about beauty, episode three about health and wellness and the fourth installment will look at home design.
