Former Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield and singer Jack Vidgen have struck up an unlikely friendship on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

And on Monday’s episode, viewers were in stitches when the new pals admitted that they would ‘have a crack’ at Ash Williams if they were drunk in a pub.

While in camp, the pair had a heart-to-heart on whether Ash is their type.   

Despite the comedian not being what they usually go for, both Abbie and Jack admitted that they would still try their luck after a few drinks.

‘I mean, like if I was drunk at a pub, [I] definitely would have a crack,’ Abbie said, to which Jack responded: ‘Same, same.’

Viewers flocked to Twitter praising the pals for their banter and comradery.

‘Abbie and Jack are the best, oh my god,’ one fan posted.

Another said: ‘Abbie and Jack are the ultimate duo. Love ’em,’ while one also commented: ‘Jack and Abbie are unstoppable’.

I’m a Celebrity is already proving to be a ratings smash for Channel 10, with more than one million viewers tuning into Sunday night’s premiere episode.

This is a slight jump in viewers compared to the first episode of last year’s season, TV Tonight reported on Monday.

About 1,000,300 people tuned into the broadcast, compared to 980,000 in 2020.

The new season was pre-recorded for the first time this year, and production was also relocated from South Africa to northern NSW due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Alongside Abbie, Jack and Ash, other stars to have entered the jungle camp are Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer, retired AFL player Travis Varcoe, and former soap star and singer Toni Pearen.
