An I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant was caught with contraband

The cat of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are supposed to be roughing it in the Australian outback. 

But one campmate has reportedly been busted by producers for trying to smuggle in a luxury item into camp this year.  

According to a report by Woman’s Day on Monday, an unnamed celebrity failed to hoodwink Channel 10 bosses, and had the unknown item confiscated. 

‘Producers discovered it early on and swiftly confiscated it, much to the celeb’s dismay!’ a source told the publication.

The show’s rules dictate that no luxury items are allowed on the hit reality TV show, with celebrities forced to rough it in the wilderness.

This year’s contestants include The Bachelor’s Abbie Chatfield, former Australian Idol star Paulini Curuenavuli, and The Voice’s Jack Vidgen.

Other contestants include veteran TV host Grant Denyer, comedian Ash Williams, former Block star Jess Eva, actress Toni Pearen, comedian Mel Buttle and former AFL player Travis Varcoe.

According to Woman’s Day, two of the show’s contestants are also believed to find love on this year’s series.

It comes after Married At First Sight’s Ryan Gallagher’s short-lived fling with British reality TV star Charlotte Crosby on last year’s season.

And after having to relocate to Australia from the South African jungle because of the coronavirus pandemic, the new locale came with its own problems.

Woman’s Day said a lot of the show’s stars found themselves sleep deprived during the filming of this year’s show.

The Australian humidity, wet weather and relentless insects kept many of the campers wide awake at night.
