The Bachelor’s Bella Varelis discovers the perils of being an influencer

She gained a legion of fans after being dumped by Locky Gilbert on The Bachelor in 2020, and swiftly turned it into a career as an influencer.

And it seems Bella Varelis has discovered there’s a dark side to regularly promoting products on Instagram.

On Sunday, the 26-year-old revealed she had become the victim of delivery theft.

Bella uploaded a picture of the peep hole on her front door to her Instagram Stories, along with a note reading: ‘If you decide to steal my deliveries, make sure you smile for the camera first.’ 

‘S/o to the neighbour who keeps stealing my deliveries,’ she captioned the post. ‘Try not to be a s**t human this year xoxo.’

Bella’s post follows the brunette’s return to Instagram following a ‘social media detox’ after being called out for using a Russian influencer’s photo.

‘Gave myself a small social media detox the last couple days and geez it gives you a lot of time to think,’ she wrote in a post on Thursday.

‘I’ve never had a year that has been more of an emotional roller coaster than this year and scrolling through my camera roll today really put me through the motions. 

‘I’m so proud of the human I am becoming, a woman who is unapologetically herself and who will stand her ground when it comes to knowing what she’s worth.’

She went on to say she’s ‘grateful for the love and support you all have given me and I just wish there was a way to give it back to every single one of you’.

Days earlier, Bella made headlines for the wrong reasons after being called out for using a Russian Instagram influencer’s photo. 

She reposted Moscow-based Ekaterina Mezenova’s romantic photo to her own Instagram Stories, without crediting her. 

While many believed it was a relationship announcement from the Bachelor runner-up, Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck discovered the image had in fact belonged to Ekaterina and not Bella.
