Samantha Jade postponed her wedding to fiancé Pat Handlin twice amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

But the couple are not letting it get in the way of their love story.

Taking to her Instagram on Saturday, the 33-year-old shared a sweet picture alongside her future husband on a special date night in Sydney.

Although the songstress didn’t include a caption, the pair’s beaming smiles confirmed they were still very much in a happy place in the lead up to their nuptials.

Speaking to Who magazine in November 2020, Samantha revealed why she hasn’t looked into rescheduling the couple’s special date again.

At the time, she claimed there was a major reason she ‘can’t get married’ – her family and friends are unable to attend.

‘It was really upsetting [postponing her wedding], but it’s just one of those things. We were supposed to get married in October and haven’t looked at rescheduling while Western Australia remained shut,’ the former X Factor star said.

‘My mum and dad still live there [in WA] and all my childhood friends – I can’t get married without them. We’re just waiting to see what happens,’ she added.

The Bounce hit-maker had found her dream wedding dress and selected a venue pretty quickly after she began planning the nuptials.

Back in May, Samantha spoke about her wedding plans on The Morning Show and said she had put her original plans on hold due when the virus first struck.

‘I actually started the process of planning. I had a few things actually planned then had to put it all on hold because of COVID,’ she revealed.

At the time, she said that she had secured a venue for the nuptials.

‘We only had one thing – we had a venue, but that is all I will say. It’s so much to plan, and I did start it,’ she said.

‘Now it’s going to be perfectly planned I guess because I’ve got a lot more time.’
