Pregnant Binky Felstead reveals she is having a boy

She revealed on Boxing Day that she is pregnant with her second child.

And Binky Felstead has announced she is expecting a baby boy with her fiancé Max Darnton in a heartwarming gender reveal video.

The Made In Chelsea star, 30, uploaded the clip to her Instagram as she held a giant balloon reading ‘Boy or Girl?’

The reality star was joined by Max, 30, who cradled her daughter India, three, in his arms.  

India, who Binky shares with ex JP Patterson, tried to pop the balloon to reveal the gender herself, however it proved a difficult task.

Binky’s pal got her a kitchen knife to do the job herself with a stream of blue confetti erupting from the burst balloon.

The TV star, who captioned the video with ‘IT’S A…’ jumped up and down as she revealed the happy news before she, Max and India all embraced. 

The couple were inundated with congratulatory messages from Binky’s followers.

Fellow Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson wrote: ‘Yayyyyyyyyyyy – congratulations!!!!. The carving knife genuinely had me worried though.’

Millie Makintosh commented with a series of  love emojis while Love Island star Jessica Shears wrote: ‘Love this’.  

Another user said the video brought them to tears, writing: ‘That made me cry! One of each. Congratulations!’

Binky had teased her followers with the reveal on Saturday as she shared snaps of the trio standing with the balloon as she encouraged her fans to guess what she and Max are having.  

It comes after Binky took to Instagram to show off her baby bump for the first time on Wednesday, displaying her new shape in a sports bra and leggings. 

The star said she has ‘started to pop’ while confirming she has now entered her second trimester – and admitted her relief that the ‘nausea and constant tiredness’ of the first 13 weeks of pregnancy has passed.

Alongside her sporty snap, Binky gushed over her blossoming pregnancy figure as she wrote: ‘Wow this has really started to pop!! 

‘First trimester out the way thank goodness, and out comes the maternity leggings that I feel I’m going to live in for the foreseeable! Luckily all my jumpers & cardies are baggy anyway.’

Binky – real name Alexandra – explained that with the excitement of pregnancy comes ‘nerves’, particularly when she has a ‘scan or any random aches and pains’.

It comes after she businessman fiancé Max sadly suffered a miscarriage earlier this year just before she reached the 12-week mark in her pregnancy.

Binky added: ‘Obviously hugely excited, and with that comes some nerves – especially every time we go for a scan or have any random aches and pains. (I’ve banned myself googling what those might mean)

‘Relieved the nausea and constant tiredness has passed and feeling more myself again even if there are some emotions bouncing about & weird food cravings!… Currently taking down 6 butter soaked, Marmite crumpets a day!

The reality star revealed she is set to welcome a second child in a sweet Instagram post on Boxing Day.

She shared a stunning gallery of images as she debuted her growing baby bump, while standing with her partner and little girl.

In the photographs, Binky cut an elegant figure in a plunging pink maxi dress, which perfectly hugged her growing stomach as she cradled her bump. 

Alongside the snaps, Binky wrote: ‘BIG SISTER ALERT!!! We are so thankful and excited that our family will be growing in 2021! India gets her new title of ‘Big Sister’… which she’s already very proud of! 

‘2020 has been a real personal rollercoaster with some huge ups and some lows. We are so excited, happy and thankful for what is to come! Here’s to 2021’.  

Meanwhile, daughter India beamed as she held up a selection of ultrasound scans.

In October, Binky revealed she suffered a miscarriage earlier this year, taking to Instagram to post an emotional message to her followers.

The TV personality was expecting with fiancé Max but sadly miscarried at the 12 week mark, leaving the couple ‘heartbroken’.

She wrote: ‘I’ve thought long and hard about doing this post, but I felt that if I can pass on any warmth, comfort or help to anybody in the same position – well that would be great. It’s only fair that I share some of my ‘downs’ as well as my ‘up’ moments. 

‘Today would have been my 18 week mark, but sadly we had an early miscarriage just before 12 weeks. Not only was this heartbreaking for us, but it also came as such a shock to me.

‘I hadn’t realised until then how blessed I was with having such a relatively straight forward pregnancy with India – I’ll admit I was naive enough to assume the next one would be as straightforward, but I had two early scans as I was concerned I was bleeding. 

‘They found a very strong heartbeat. However, on the third scan I was told “I’m afraid there’s no heartbeat”.I was told by my doctor that 1 in 4 pregnancies miscarry (not that statistics make it any easier!) 

‘With 82% of my following being women – that means roughly 237,800 women ‘following’ me could (or have) experienced the same, which is just so sad.

‘When speaking to a few close friends about our situation, we learned that some of them too have had miscarriages in the past.

‘I asked them why they’ve never said anything, and they just said they felt they couldn’t, or shouldn’t talk about it. Almost like it’s a taboo subject, which is heartbreaking.

‘If you have been through this, I hope you are giving yourself time to mentally and physically heal and do what you need. 

‘I keep reminding myself that there was nothing I could have done, and perhaps this was nature’s way of saying that for whatever reason, this little soul wasn’t ready for the world. Sending so so much love .

‘I later learned that @miscarriageassociation is available to help anyone who has/is experiencing this. 

‘It’s a national charity that provides support and information for anyone who’s affected by miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, this includes both women and men.

‘You can call their helpline or talk to them on live chat or even message them on Instagram, and they will do whatever they can to help you through.’ 

Binky gave birth to India in June 2017 and split from JP just over a year later in September 2018, citing that it was ‘unfair’ on India for the couple to stay together. 

Binky and Max, who is managing director at a global executive search and consulting firm, have been in a relationship since January 2019 after meeting at countryside private members’ club Soho Farmhouse.

The happy couple announced that they are engaged to be married after 19 months of dating in September. 

She revealed the good news via Instagram as she shared a picture of her kissing the businessman while holding up her hand to show off the sparkling diamond ring.

Gushing about the proposal, which took place after he asked her daughter, for permission to pop the question, she wrote: ‘The easiest ‘Yes’ EVER!’
