Jason Manford reveals his son, seven, was BITTEN on the chest by a horse

Jason Manford has revealed that his seven-year-old son was bitten by a horse during a terrifying attack.

The comedian, 39, was on a bike ride with his two sons when they stopped to say ‘hello’ to some horses, which Jason insisted are usually very friendly.

But a new horse with ‘mad eyes’ unexpectedly ‘lurched’ at his eldest son and bit the young child on the chest, leaving a nasty bruise, the Mirror reported.

Scary! Jason Manford has shockingly revealed that his seven-year-old son was bitten by a horse during a terrifying attack (pictured in November 2018)

Speaking on his Absolute Radio show, Jason explained: ‘The horses always come over when we stop – they always say hello.

‘There was a new horse and he had mad eyes! I should have spotted that, looking back.

‘It was a mad 60 seconds. I had my little boy, the two-year-old, on the seat of my bike.

‘This horse out of nowhere lurches forward and bites my other son on the chest.’

The father-of-six’s two-year-old boy was also injured during the ordeal as he fell off his bike while Jason ran to help his badly bruised child.

He continued: ‘It was one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me.’

But Jason was quick to add that, despite initially being shaken, his eldest son was able to laugh about the shocking attack afterwards.

He quipped: ‘He’s fine, when we got home he was sending picture to his mates.

‘I asked him “why the long face” later but he didn’t get it, which is a shame.’

The TV presenter, who is very private about his family life, shares four children with his ex-wife Catherine.

The couple tied the knot back in 2007 but parted ways after six years of marriage.

Jason married his second wife Lucy Dyke in 2017 and the smitten pair have since welcomed two children – a son and a daughter – together.

In November, the doting father admitted he has found joy in embarrassing his children during the second lockdown after weeks of trying to homeschool them.

The Scarborough star said that despite getting to know his family even more during the pandemic, he still welcomes the chance to make them cringe with his behaviour.

Speaking to The Sun, Jason said: ‘I didn’t realise how thick I was. I thought I was pretty clever and then had to try to learn Year Seven maths, and that’s not my strong point.

‘I am more than happy to embarrass them, to start singing in a supermarket or something just to make them cringe.

‘I took my daughter to school last week in my pyjamas for pyjama day. She was like, ”That’s not what it is”. And I was like, ”Well it is for me”.’

Jason also confessed that his family were furious when he was revealed to be The Hedgehog on The Masked Singer, as he didn’t even tell his children he’d be taking part in the show.

He finished runner-up on the show last year and told MailOnline last month that he knows the identity of two mystery contestants on the latest series.

The funnyman believes the hit ITV show will have a ‘step up in guests’ as Covid-19 has hit many celebrities in the pocket.

He said: ‘I’ve had five pretty big stars ring me this year firstly to say ‘What was it like? Were you looked after? Was it hard? What are the costumes like? Can you pick your own songs? Is it worth doing?’

‘Out of those five people, two of them are doing it and they are massive names. You will know exactly who they are and be like, ‘wow.’

‘Don’t forget people haven’t worked all year. There’s a presumption that because you’re on telly and been on telly for a long time, you’re alright jack and it’s alright not to earn any money for six months.

‘But everyone’s life costs a certain amount of money. Once that’s gone, you’re like – ‘what am I going to do?”

Jason has built up an estimated net worth of £1.5million after becoming inspired by the likes of Peter Kay and Johnny Vegas to perform stand-up comedy while he was working as a glass collector at a pub.
