Taylor Swift’s BFF Claire Winter Kislinger celebrates the new year with a photo of the singer giving 2020 the finger: ‘See ya never 2020’

Taylor Swift said 2020 had been ‘weird’ as she looked forward to a brighter 2021.

But her friend Claire Winter Kislinger bid the cursed year a sharper goodbye early on January 1 with a Polaroid-style snap of her popstar friend.

It featured Taylor brandishing her middle finger at the camera, which her pal used to stand in for the past year.

Good riddance! Taylor Swift’s friend Claire Winter Kislinger said ‘See ya never 2020’ on New Year’s Day with a playfully throwback snap of the singer giving the camera the finger

‘See ya never 2020,’ she captioned the image.

The photo appeared to be a throwback she had taken of the 31-year-old songstress, who had on a purple striped dress covered in glittering sequins.

She was looking over the shoulder of a man who had his arm around her, though it wasn’t clear if it was her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

Claire, who is a jewelry designer, has regularly attended Taylor’s performances in the past and has even accompanied her friend to award shows.

Taylor’s own New Year’s Eve post was a bit more bizarre than her friends.

She shared an image of herself in a pink button-up top while wearing a thick brown bear jacket, with her face poking out from the bear’s mouth.

‘Bye 2020, it’s been weird,’ she captioned the photo.

The picture sent some of her fans searching for hidden meanings on social media, with some speculating that she was referencing the disturbing finale of the horror film Midsommar, in which a man is entombed within a bear carcass.

Taylor’s post comes days after her surprise album Evermore had topped the Billboard 200 chart for the second week in a row.

The album was released with little warning on December 11, following her surprise-released album Folklore from July.

Earlier in December, Taylor explained to Zane Lowe that the sibling albums took their inspiration and moods from the seasons.

‘One thing I wanted to do with Folklore is I wanted it to represent spring and summer. And when I made Evermore, I knew that I wanted to fill in the rest of the seasons of the year and have it reflect fall and winter,’ she said
