Amber Tamblyn bundles up in winter coat with faux fur-trimmed hood to shop and walk her dog in NYC

She’s still best known for her starring role in the 2005 movie The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants and its 2008 sequel.

And on Wednesday, Amber Tamblyn was almost unrecognizable as she walked her dog in New York City bundled up in a winter coat with faux-fur lined hood and wearing a face mask.

The actress, 37,  also ran some errands, taking a trip to a grocery store near the home she shares with husband David Cross and their young daughter.

Amber wore her warm black coat, which was belted at the waist with a knotted sash, over blue jeans with distressed hems.

She added a pair of tan UGG boots and wrapped a long colorful scarf around her neck.

She carried a bright yellow cloth tote for purchases and checked her cell phone as she walked.

Amber also took to Twitter on Wednesday to wish her father, the actor Russ Tamblyn, a happy birthday.

The veteran thespian, who turned 85, started out as a child star in the late 1940s and went on to appear in such classics as 1950’s Father Of The Bride, 1954’s Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Peyton Place in 1957 and West Side Story in 1961.

He’s continued to work regularly in film and TV ever since.

Meanwhile, Amber most recently made a pilot for FX’s Y: The Last Man, based on the comic of the same name.

Her other credits include the TV shows House and Two And A Half Men.
