Tituss Burgess, Adam Lambert and Andrew Barth Feldman join Ratatouille: A TikTok Musical

Just weeks after becoming a viral sensation, the cast of Ratatouille: A TikTok Musical has been announced.

Titus Burgess, Adam Lambert and Andrew Barth Feldman have joined the cast of this impromptu musical, which will stream live on January 1st, benefiting The Actor’s Fund.

They will be joined by Wayne Brady, Kevin Chamberlain, Andre De Shields, Priscilla Lopez, Ashley Park, Owen Tabaka and Mary Testa, via Playbill.

Burgess will portray the rat Remy, who has a distinct talent for culinary creations, with Feldman (who participated in the original TikTok craze) playing Linguini.

The cast includes Brady as Django, Chamberlain as Gusteau, De Shields as Ego, Lambert as Emile, Lopez as Mabel, Park as Colette, Tabaka as Young Ego, and Testa as Skinner.

The ensemble is rounded out by Cori Jaskier, Talia Suskauer, Nikisha Williams, JJ Niemann, John Michael Lyles, Raymond J. Lee, and Joy Woods.

The viral sensation started in mid-November, when TikTok users started creating their own songs for a musical based on the 2007 Pixar animated film. 

Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley (Circle Jerk) are adapting the Broadway musical from the hit Pixar film, with choreography by Ellenore Scott. 

Seaview Productions also announced that at least 11 of the TikTok users who created music for the viral sensation will have their work featured in the musical.

These TikTok users include Danny Bernstein (@dannykbernstein), Gabbi Bolt (@fettuccinefettuqueen), (@chamberlin_kevin), RJ Christian (@rjthecomposer), Nathan Fosbinder (@fozzyforman108), Emily Jacobsen (@e_jaccs), Sophia James (@sophiajamesmusic), Katie Johantgen (@katiejoyofosho), Daniel Mertzlufft (@danieljmertzlufft), Alec Powell (@phisherpryce), and Blake Rouse (@blakeyrouse), with additional lyrics by Kate Leonard.  

Lucy Moss (Six) directs the presentation, with the score performed by Broadway Sinfonietta, a 20-piece collective of female and majority women-of-color musicians.

Fans can purchase tickets to the virtual event through TodayTix, with all proceeds going to The Actor’s Fund.

After the event streams live on Friday, January 1 at 7 PM ET, the show will be available to purchase and view on demand for only the next 72 hours.

The original Ratatouille movie followed the lovable rat Remy, voiced by Patton Oswalt, who desperately wants to put his culinary skills on display.

He teams up with Linguini, voiced by Lou Romano, a young kitchen worker at a famous restaurant to put his work out there.

The voice cast includes Ian Holm as Skinner, Brian Dennehy as Django, Peter Sohn as Emile, Brad Garrett as Gusteau, Janeane Garofolo as Colette and Peter O’Toole as Anton Ego.
