Bachelor In Paradise’s Niranga Amarasinghe reveals he ‘secretly dated’ blonde Bachelor star Charley Bond – but things ‘fizzled out’
He was left unlucky-in-love during both The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise.
But Niranga Amarasinghe claims he was secretly dating a Bachelor star this year — 25-year-old P.E teacher Charley Bond.
They were first spotted in public together while Charley appeared on Locky Gilbert’s Bachelor season in August, but had never confirmed their relationship status.

In an interview with the So Dramatic! podcast, the 29-year-old divulged the duo became an item after starting off as friends.
‘We had a bit of a romantic connection for a while there,’ he said. ‘Then yeah, it fizzled out and now we’re really good friends, so no hard feelings.’
When pressed by show host Megan Pustetto about whether they were just ‘hooking up’ or actually dating, Niranga explained they were doing ‘a bit of both’.
‘It was a bit of both – hooking up, dating, seeing where each other’s at,’ the former Bachelor In Paradise star claimed.

‘She’s a really nice girl. She is amazing, but it just wasn’t meant to be. It just wasn’t the right timing and now we’re amazing friends, and that’s how we’re going to stay.’
Niranga then detailed his hope in finding the right girl, especially with him turning 30 in January.
‘I haven’t found the right one yet,’ the aircraft engineer said. ‘I’m still out there looking and I’ve become quite close to some of the girls obviously on this year’s season and last year’s season, but nothing romantic.

‘It’s not always about getting attention, it’s actually about finding that spark of that connection and unfortunately I haven’t found it yet but hopefully she’s just around the corner. I’m 30 [years old] next January so fingers crossed.’
Charley confirmed Niranga’s claims about the pair dating on Monday, telling Daily Mail Australia she wished him all the best in finding the love of his life.
‘He is such an amazing person and we are best friends now,’ the blonde bombshell said. ‘I hope he finds the love of his life because he deserves all the happiness.’
