Chris Evans shares Christmas Day piano recital of contemporary classical song on Instagram Stories

Chris Evans treated his Instagram followers to a Christmas Day piano recital.

The 39-year-old actor posted a pair of video clips on his Instagram Stories tickling the ivories to a contemporary classical song.

The Captain America wore a black cap with a red NASA logo along with a dark sweatshirt over a white T-shirt and a small pendant necklace while performing for his roughly 7.9 million followers.

‘MERRY CHRISTMAS,’ he wrote at the start of the clip along with four Christmas tree images.

Chris continued playing as the message on his second clip read, ‘WISHING YOU A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR’ along with a blue heart emoji and a ‘2021’ banner.

He played the piano earnestly throughout and toward the end looked up and smiled at the camera.

Chris also shared a video on his Instagram Stories that showed him pranking his younger brother Scott, 37, with a surprise shout that startled him.

The Boston native last month shared a video on Instagram of himself practicing a piano piece by Italian composer Fabrizio Paterlini, 47.

‘Learning one of my favorites by Fabrizio Paterlini,’ Chris captioned the clip.

Chris has been playing the piano since his youth and told Men’s Journal in 2019 that he also can play the guitar and ‘fake it’ on the drums.

The actor earlier this year starred in the crime drama miniseries Defending Jacob that premiered in April on the Apple TV+ streaming service.

Defending Jacob was based on the 2012 novel of the same name by William Landay.

It also was announced earlier this month that Chris will provide the voice of Buzz Lightyear in a Pixar origin story movie about the Toy Story character due out in 2022.
