Julie Andrews fans express shock and awe over her Gossip Girl-style narration in Bridgerton

Audiences expressed their shock and awe over Dame Julie Andrews’ Gossip Girl-style narration of Netflix period drama Bridgerton, which started streaming Christmas morning.

The British 85-year-old – who’s only a Tony away from elite EGOT status – voices the role of Lady Whistledown, the author of the scandalous society pages.

‘It has been said that of all b****es, dead or alive, a scribbly woman is most canine,’ Julie (born Julia Wells) said in the first episode.
