Amanda Kloots shares photos from the last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero

Amanda Kloots posted a photo from the last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero on Thursday.

Cordero tragically passed away earlier this year at age 41 after suffering complications from COVID-19, an ordeal which his wife documented regularly with Instagram followers.

Despite having endured such a painful year, Kloots, 38, struck a positive note as she reflected on 2020 with several photos from happier times.

‘We were so excited to be together for the holidays’: Amanda Kloots posted a photo from the last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero on Thursday

‘Merry Christmas everyone,’ Amanda began in the lengthy caption with a heart emoji. ‘I know this Christmas looks different for a lot of us. It has been a year filled with loss in many ways. I have found that focusing on what I do have as helped me tremendously.

‘I start the day with a positive thought and go to sleep counting my blessings. It isn’t always easy, but it always helps. Gratitude breeds optimism. I would say too, don’t wish time away. Time is precious, even when it’s hard.’

‘I love this picture of my family last Christmas. It was undoubtedly my favorite Christmas I can remember. Elvis was just six months old, our little Christmas gift from God. We were so excited to be together for the holidays.’

Amanda has been regularly preserving memories of her late husband on her Instagram account ever since his passing in July.

On Wednesday, she shared video of the ring she made from her husband’s ashes.

The 38-year-old posted a video of a gold ring with a large square clear stone, set in the middle with a sapphire.

‘I love that Nick is with me in many places; the ocean, a beautiful vase, an urn and now on my hand. Nick went to Stephanie for all my jewelry, he knew I loved her designs! My wedding and engagement ring are from her so this ring is very special to me.’

Kloots tied the knot with Cordero back in 2017, and they welcomed their only son Elvis Eduardo, one, last year.

She recently reflected on spending her first Christmas without her husband and the father of her child, who died in July at the age of 41.

The Talk host posted a photo to Instagram of Cordero holding his baby boy, writing: ‘One of my favorite pictures of Nick and Elvis.

‘This was last Christmas. My family flew down to South Carolina and had a very Hallmark style Christmas at the @montagepalmettobluff. I’ll never forget it. Hug your loved ones close guys.’

Cordero was diagnosed with the coronavirus back in March, spending the last three months of his life in a hospital.

Doctors amputated his leg due to a blood clot caused by complications with the virus in April, and they gave him a tracheostomy tube in May, after developing ‘holes in his lungs.’

Cordero died July 5, 2020. Kloots wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.’
