The secret TV channels you never knew existed: A streaming service has quietly launched in Australia with NO promotion – and anyone can watch it on free-to-air

30 new channels have arrived on free-to-air TV, and most Australians have no idea about it. 

Samsung have released their own streaming service called Samsung TV Plus, which has been quietly rolled out on all Samsung smart TVs made after 2018.

The service is free to access, although Mumbrella reports that it’s supported by advertising.

There’s a number of bizarre and obscure channels on Samsung TV Plus, including The Pet Collective, which covers viral animal videos.

Another channel, The Asylum, airs low-budget, direct-to-video sci-fi films.

The Asylum is best known for producing the Sharknado films and Z Nation.

The service provides a variety of content, including music, news, sports, and movies.

Australia isn’t the only market where Samsung TV Plus has been rolled out.

It’s available in 12 territories, including US, Canada, UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Spain.

The service is to expand even further in 2021 in places like India and more European countries.

There are currently more than 35 free-to-air channels in Australia.

However, subscription-based streaming services have become incredibly popular in recent years.

Some of the most popular include Netflix, Stan, Binge, and the reality TV streaming site Hayu.
