‘I’m feeling absolutely fine!’: TV’s Dr Amir Khan gets the coronavirus vaccine on Lorraine as he reassures viewers not to ‘worry’ about the jab

Dr Amir Khan has had the coronavirus vaccine during Wednesday’s episode of Lorraine.

The medic, who works in Bradford, reassured viewers that he was ‘feeling absolutely fine’ after receiving the jab before his shift at the hospital.

Speaking to host Ranvir Singh, Dr Amir appeared to be in great spirits as he said: ‘I’m feeling fine… I might have a sore arm later but that’s perfectly normal with a vaccine.’

Amazing! Dr Amir Khan appeared to be in great spirits as he had the coronavirus vaccination on Lorraine on Wednesday

Dr Amir was first seen in a clip as he chatted with a nurse called Jan ahead of her giving him the jab.

The doctor was asked several questions to make sure he was good to go ahead with the procedure and told Lorraine viewers this was all normal.

When Jan asked if he was pregnant Dr Amir laughed as he joked and grabbed his stomach saying: ‘No! It’s just a bit of lockdown weight’.

He was then given the injection and seemed amazed at how painless it was, barely even noticing the jab.

Nurse Jan joked as she pinched Dr Amir’s arm, saying ‘we’ve got some proper muscles here’, and giving him the first injection.

Cheeky Dr Amir said: ‘I’ve been working out Jan! Are we done? That was it?’

He then turned to the camera and said: ‘To be absolutely honest, I’ve had vaccines before for going travelling, it was nothing at all. Nothing to fear.

‘I’ve had my first COVID vaccine and I’ll be booking in for my second in three weeks.’
