Buddy Valastro returns home from the hospital after freak bowling incident impaled his right hand

Buddy Valastro has captured the moment he returned from the hospital after impaling his right hand during a freak bowling accident.

In a sneak peek of Buddy Valastro: Road To Recovery, the Cake Boss star is seen being helped out of his car and into his home, where his concerned family is waiting for him.

A weary and groggy Buddy, 43, is seated at the dining table, where he places his bandaged hand upon a pillow.

‘A little nauseas but…’ Buddy began.

‘There was a lot of blood when you FaceTimed us,’ Buddy’s son, Buddy Valastro Jr., remarked.

Buddy’s wife, Lisa Valastro, described the damage done to his hand as she pointed out where doctors had worked on the injury.  

‘So they have four pins, here and here,’ his wife Lisa Valastro said. ‘He broke his thumb real bad.’

‘He has damage in his tendon, in his two fingers, and the nerve in his thumb,’ she added. 

Buddy’s wife then showed the actual metal piece that pierced right through his hand.

‘Is this a dream?’ Lisa later asks, in shock. 

‘It has to be. It is a nightmare,’ a family member replied.

‘A nightmare, yeah. Never mind a dream,’ Lisa said.

Meanwhile, Buddy’s family helped him outside for a breath of fresh air.

‘I feel so mad at myself,’ Buddy says. ‘Buddy, my hand is everything I have.’

‘I know,’ the teen replies.

A one-and-a-half inch metal rod pierced his hand three times between his ring finger and middle finger.

His sons Buddy Jr., 16, and Marco, 13, had to use a saw to free their father from the machine and he was hospitalized for treatment.
