On Friday, Brooke managed to get home safe and sound to her beloved dog Tenley after revealing that she muddled through several travel mishaps.

‘Made it home after a snow storm and cancelled flights and look who was waiting for me… my buddy Tenley,’ she penned on Instagram.

The star posted two photos of the small spotted dog waiting for her at the door and then curled up in his bed near their Christmas tree.

She shared a selfie in front of her full and festive tree that was sparkling with white twinkle lights and covered in cherished ornaments.

Wearing her eyeglasses, the makeup free star smirked in the snap with her sandy toned hair swept back in a messy bun.

‘House and tree done…. it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,’ she captioned the post which included a look at her front door covered in lit greenery.

Shields has been getting into the holiday spirit for weeks now, while filming a holiday flick for Netflix titled A Castle for Christmas.

The actress was on location in Scotland to shoot the rom-com, alongside star Carey Elwes.

Production began in September on the film, which sees Shields play a famous author who travels abroad to buy a castle from a Scottish Duke who doesn’t want to sell, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Eventually, the pair work to find a compromise, ‘but along the way they just may find more than they bargained for,’ as they butt heads and possibly find love.

The six-week shoot was filmed as the coronavirus pandemic raged on, but the cast and crew of A Castle for Christmas were tested regularly for the deadly virus.
