LadBaby beats Gemma Collins and Mariah Carey to the Christmas Number One spot for the third year running with his single Don’t Stop Me Eating

YouTube star LadBaby has beat Gemma Collins and Mariah Carey to the Christmas Number One spot for the third year running.

Ladbaby, real name, Mark Hoyle, 32, released charity single Don’t Stop Me Eating, sung to the tune of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing. 

His hit is raising funds for The Trussell Trust which supports food banks.

He beat Gemma and pal Darren Day’s festive cover of Baby, It’s Cold Outside and Mariah Carey’s iconic hit All I Want For Christmas Is You. 

Gemma and Darren’s will help raise money for the Rethink Mental Illness charity.  

The Official Big Top 40 announced Ladbaby as the winner on Sunday.

He got his first Christmas Number 1 in 2018 with We Built This City… On Sausage Rolls and his second was called I Love Sausage Rolls in 2019.   

Robbie Williams had backed TV personality Gemma to reach the Christmas number one slot after making a surprise cameo on her ITVBe show.

The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma joined forces with West End veteran Darren Day for a version of much covered winter classic Baby It’s Cold Outside.

And Robbie, 46, reached out to the 39-year old with a supportive Christmas message during an edition of her reality show, Diva For Xmas. 

Wishing her ‘the very, very best Christmas and incredible new year’, he said: ‘Good luck with the new single with Darren, it’s a cracker.

‘Thank you for making me smile and thank you for making me laugh, we need more of that on our televisions.’ 

The former Take That star previously admitted he was obsessed with Gemma’s Diva Forever reality series, having binge watched it with wife Ayda Field during lockdown.
