Captain Tom Moore has been pictured enjoying Barbados sunshine with his family after being offered a free flight by British Airways.
Sir Tom became a national treasure after raising millions for the NHS at the height of the first Covid-19 lockdown by walking laps in his garden.
His efforts earned him a knighthood as well as promotion to honorary colonel.
Now he has revealed he has ticked off an item on his ‘bucket list’ by jetting off to the tropical island.

Posting a picture of himself with his family on Twitter, Sir Tom said: ‘Enjoying a beautiful family day in the Barbados sunshine #TomorrowWillBeAGoodDay.’
The 100-year-old said he never thought he would get to travel again at his age.
He added: ‘The support I have been shown in 2020 has given me renewed energy and today I get to tick something off my bucket list.’
BA’s official Twitter account read: ‘We are honoured to be flying you and your family Captain Sir Tom, to one of our favourite destinations.’
