Strictly Come Dancing’s Maisie Smith and Bill Bailey pose with Glitterball trophy before final

They’re eagerly anticipating Saturday night’s grand finale.

And the four Strictly Come Dancing finalists got tantalisingly close to the coveted Glitterball trophy as they posed for a photoshoot ahead of the show.

Maisie Smith, 19, and her pro partner Gorka Marquez, 30, put on animated displays as they reached out to touch the sparkling accolade, while Bill Bailey, 55, and Oti Mabuse, 30, also beamed smiles as they stood behind the award.

Maisie looked sensational as she soaked up some time with the Glitterball while rocking a pink polka-dot mini dress.

The EastEnders actress looked excited as she and Gorka crouched around the trophy while standing on the Strictly dance floor.

Bill looked equally excited for the big night, with the comedian cracking a smile and putting one hand out towards the dazzling ball to match a glamorous looking Oti.

Jamie Laing, 32, and pro Karen Hauer, 38, also opted for a more demure snap with the trophy, with the Made In Chelsea star wrapping an arm around the dancer.

Rounding up the finalists, HRVY also posed with the Glitterball and looked very excited to be standing so close to the award.

The YouTuber, 21, and his pro partner Janette Manrara, 37, beamed wide grins at the camera and both pointed to the trophy which could be theirs by the end of the weekend.

It comes after Strictly revealed the dances this year’s final four couples will tackle in Saturday’s finale, as they prepare to battle it out for the Glitterball trophy.

Each pair will perform three dances in the live final – the Judges Pick, the Showdance and their favourite of the series – in a bid to win enough votes to be crowned winner.

Leading the performances will be Bill’s reprisal of his viral Couple’s Choice to Rapper’s Delight, while Maisie‘s will get viewers into the festive spirit with a Christmas-themed Showdance.

First up each couple will take on the Judges Choice, a dance they performed earlier in the series which the panel would like to see again to show how much they’ve improved since the series began.  

For Bill and his professional partner Oti it’ll be their Quickstep to Talk To The Animals by Bobby Darin, which previously earned them a score of 24 out of 30. 

Maisie and Gorka will reprise their very first dance in the Strictly ballroom, the Samba to Samba (Conga) by Gloria Estefan, which previously scored 24 out of 30.

HRVY and Janette will once again dance the Jive to Faith by Stevie Wonder feat. Ariana Grande, which saw them top the leaderboard in Week One with 25 points out of 30.

Finally Jamie will don his toga and red wig once again to take on the role of Hercules, as he dances the Charleston to Zero To Hero from the 1998 film, which scored him 23 out of 30 during Movie Week.

Up next each couple will take on the much-anticipated Showdance, a performance with only one rule – there aren’t any.

Maisie and Gorka will get viewers into the festive spirit with a dance to We Need A Little Christmas by Idina Menzel, while Bill and Oti will perform to Queen’s The Show Must Go On.

Jamie and Karen will channel Elton John in the 2019 film Rocketman by dancing to Taron Egerton’s cover of the hit I’m Still Standing, and HRVY and Janette are set to perform to Brittany Murphy’s cover of Boogie Wonderland.

As the four couples take to the floor for the last time they’ll perform their favourite dance of the series.

For Maisie and Gorka it’s the Quickstep to Andy Williams’ When You’re Smiling, which scored them 29 points out of 30, while HRVY and Janette will tackle the American Smooth to One (Singular Sensation) from A Chorus Line, which also scored 29. 

After it became a viral sensation earlier this year, Bill and Oti will reprise their Couple’s Choice to Rapper’s Delight from The Sugarhill Gang, which scored 27 out of 30. 

Jamie and Karen will also reprise their Couple’s Choice to Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C+C Music Factory.

On Sunday Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice narrowly missed out on a place in the Strictly final after the judges opted to save Jamie in the dance-off.

The final will also feature a performance from Robbie Williams, along with a group dance by the class of 2020.
